Our Classes

We provide children and their grownups with opportunities to explore materials and create art while focusing on the process rather than the outcome or product.

Creative reuse is an important part of the play and making that we do. By helping children to reuse materials to create art, we are not only encouraging the development of conscientious citizens, we are also nurturing creative thinking as a skill for innovation.

In order to maintain an optimal learning and exploration experience for everyone, we ask that everyone pre-register for classes. Due to high demand and limited space, registration is capped at 10 children/class. Pre-registration will guarantee your child a space, though you can always register at the door, as space allows.

Baby Sensory Play

This caregiver-and-me class invites infants and their grown-ups to play and socialize over complimentary coffee and tea in our seaside studio. Each session features two taste-safe sensory activities, plus a mat and developmentally appropriate toys for tummy time, sitting, or exploring. Babies from birth until they’re walking are welcome. This class is a gentle, welcoming introduction to sensory and creative play for little ones and their caregivers alike.

Wednesdays from 10-11:30 am

Toddler Sensory & Creative Play

for ages 1-3 years

This class is designed for children one year and up with caregiver participation. We play in water, explore taste-safe art and sensory materials, make take-home projects, strengthen fine and gross motor skills, and socialize in our beautiful, light-filled, seaside studio.

Mondays or Fridays from 10-11 am

Preschool Sensory & Creative Play

Building on our popular Toddler Sensory & Creative Play sessions, this drop-off class features the same sensory exploration, imaginative play, and fine motor activities, plus more involved process art projects. This class is designed for potty-trained preschoolers at least 2.5 years old.

Tinker Lab

This drop-off class gives elementary-aged kids the freedom to imagine, explore, and build in the Tinker Lab, our dedicated innovation space.  Tucked away from the sensory and art studio, the Tinker Lab is a room filled with mostly recycled odds and ends to invite curiosity and spark creativity. What others might consider junk—bottle caps, packing materials, spools, sticks, fabric scraps, loose beads, cardboard, plastic packaging and more—we see as fuel for creation. We collect these treasures from the community and our own recycling bins (washed and ready to go!) to keep waste out of the landfill and inspire kids to see the creative potential in everything around them.
